GENERAL RULES FOR ENTRY AND STAGING
1. All birds must be entered between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., May 24, 2007.
2. Caging: Only one bird may be entered per cage. Refer to “Presentation” under “NFSS STANDARD FOR EXHIBITED FINCHES” below. Extraneous objects such as toys, swings, ladders, etc. must be removed.
3. Each entry must be identified with a properly fill-out show tag and accompanied by an official entry form. The show officials and/or other experienced exhibitors will be on hand to assist pet and novice entrants. Show tags and entry forms will be available at the Fair on Friday evening between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and Saturday morning until 9:00 a.m. Show tags will be $3.00 per bird up to maximum charge of $30.00 per Show. This tag fee is the only fee for entry in the show(s).
-
The Show Tag is very important as it identifies the entry by Class, Section, Sub-Division, and Division.
-
The Show Tag provides the Exhibitor with valuable information as to the number of birds in the Class and how the bird placed in Class, Section, Sub-Division, and Division.
-
Exhibitors must completely fill out name, address, and phone information along with Sub-Division, Section, and Class entered.
-
Judges are obligated to fill out placement information on the tag as some exhibitors may be exhibiting in more than one Division and will not be able to observe the judging in each Division.
-
The judge may, if desired, make remarks on the tag.
-
Judges are reminded to verbally communicate their decisions to the gallery.
4. Do not bring any finches that show any sign of illness, have been exposed to any other sick bird in your household, or which have not been in your possession for at least 45 days. Show stewards have the authority to reject any bird showing any signs of illness. Exhibitors accept all risk to their birds. Neither NFSS or RDCBS will be responsible for any damages caused by disease exposure, injury, or escape of any bird brought to the show.
